MCM-HCC INTERMEDIATE ADULT ORCHESTRA
A 10 week session of
orchestra experience for adults who have some instrumental experience
under the direction of Christine Robbins. The rehearsals will be held
from January 22nd to April 1, 2008
at MCM on Tuesdays from
10:00 am to 11:45 am. Tuition is $135 for the entire session. Please call

MUSIC TOGETHER ®
Next session is between January 9th to March 12th.
This 10 week session will
be held at 10:00 - 10:50 am on
Wednesdays. Tuition for the entire session is $190 including the
book, CD/Casette and Guide. Music Together is a musical bonding
experience where children and their parents or caregivers explore
music's building blocks through movement, playing instruments, and
singing. This nationally recognized curriculum is designed to
maximize a child's musical potential at the earliest ages of

JAZZ ENSEMBLE
Next session is between January 9 to April 23.
Under the direction of
Jeremiah Baker, this 15 week session will
be held at MCM on Wednesdays at 7:00pm - 8:30pm with a final concert

MUSICAL THEATRE
BEGINNER and ADVANCED
sessions are going to be
held between January 22nd to March 11 with a final
performance on
Saturday March 15 at 3:00 pm. Under the direction of Marge Phillips,
the beginner group will meet at 5:30 - 6:30 pm, and the advanced
group will meet at 6:30 - 8:30 pm on Tuesdays.
CLASSIC ROCK ENSEMBLE
Next session between January 10 to April 24 with a final concert.
This 15 week session under the direction of guitarist Jim Bowley will be held at MCM on Thursdays at 5:30-7:00 pm
(Group B - students age 11-14) and 7:00 to 8:30 pm (Group A - students age 13-17).

Chamber Orchestra (age 10-18)
Under the direction of Maestro Vladimir Lande, MCM Chamber orchestra will be performing "Peter and the Wolf" in May. The 21 week spring session will be meeting at MCM between 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Jazz Band (age 10-18)
Directed by Jeremiah Baker: To audition for this band, students should have two years of playing experience. This ensemble rehearses on Friday evening. Students can audition at any time during the year. Appropriate for brass, winds, keyboard, bass, guitar, drums.
Youth Choir (age 7-14)
To audition for this choir, call the conservatory to schedule an audition. This ensemble rehearses on Wednesday evening (5:15-6:30 PM). Students can audition at any time during the year.
Adult Choir (age 16 and older)
Directed by Andrew Lewis: This ensemble rehearses on Wednesday night (7-8:30 PM). Students can join at any time during the year.
Guitar Ensemble (age 7-18)
Directed by Serap Esin: To audition for this ensemble, students should be taking private lessons in the area. This ensemble rehearses on Monday evening (6:15-7:15 PM). Students can audition at any time during the year.
Popular Music (age 12-18)
Directed by Jim Bowley: To audition for this group, students should be taking private lessons in the area in which they will be performing. This ensemble rehearses on Thursday evenings. Students can audition at any time during the year.

Composition (age 11 to 18)

Repertoire
Class
Repertoire class meets at 7:15 pm on Fridays (all ages) and at 10:00
am (up o age 10) and 11:15 (age 11 and up) on Saturdays. Under the direction
of pianist Andrew Lewis, this class provides a positive and supportive environment
to help prepare students for recital and community performances. Student sharpen
performance skills and stage presence through guided performances of parts of
the repertoire they are currently studying. Predetermined musical topics are
also discussed.
Musicianship (All ages)
Directed by Duke Thompson: These classes include notation, ear-training (i.e. sight singing, dictation), music theory, and music history. Sessions are once a week for ten weeks. Email us to receive registration form: info@musicismagic.com
Jazz Musicianship (All ages)

Need will be assessed through appropriate tax statements and or equivalent documents. The amount of each scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee.
Merit is assessed at the applicant's entrance/placement interview, at the conservatory performances, and in consultation with the student's teacher(s).
